The Club at Mediterra Invests in Web to Drive Membership Development
Wayland, MA, February 2, 2010 - On the heels of a successful transition to a new ownership structure, The Club at Mediterra recently selected MembersFirst, Inc. to design, develop and build its new website. The website will include a number of innovative features that provide greater utility, convenience, and value to its membership.
The primary objective of the project is to improve membership development, and according to “Max” Passino, Membership Director at The Club of Mediterra, design and communication will play a key role in driving engagement and retention. “MembersFirst has long been recognized for their interactive design competence and the flexibility of their application to meet even the most stringent requirements - we intend to leverage both,” reports Passino. “In determining our selection criteria, we placed private club experience, internet marketing domain expertise, product features, and price at the top of our value equation. They simply have it all,” she continued.
“We are thrilled to be among one of the first initiatives Mediterra's new ownership is getting behind,” stated John Blake, CEO at MembersFirst. “Facilitating interaction, communication and engagement is central to building and sustaining an active and vibrant community of members,” Blake said. “It's an important member-facing project that has considerable short term and longer term benefits associated with it.”
Mediterra's new website is expected to include a number of member conveniences such as access to account statement viewing and payment, event registrations, and tee time reservations. At the core of the offering however, is a robust communication engine that will allow the club to vastly improve its online communication with members. “Communication is absolutely key,” said Passino. “The more relevant, timely and targeted our communication to members is, the better informed and more engaged they'll be in programs, events and activities designed exclusively for their pleasure and enjoyment,” she added.
Mediterra's new MembersFirst-based website is scheduled to launch early Spring 2010.
